With the onset of the 21st century, the entire world has witnessed an era of intense transformation in all areas, whether it is education, global trade, economy, technology, or society. Recently, the covid-19 pandemic has thrown challenges for an individual to cope with its havoc. For such turbulent times, a different skill/skill set is required that would enable an individual to deal with and succeed in facing the challenges of real life, leading to holistic progress. These skills are nothing but 21st Century Skills/ Learning Skills/ Transversal Competencies etc. Thus, the 21st Century Skills are the skills that are required by an individual for his/ her holistic development so that he/she can contribute to the progress and development of his society.

Why Skill-Based Education is Important?

It develops seven survival skills to be prepared for twenty-first-century life, work, and citizenship. They are:

Keeping this in mind, the world has entered a period in which nothing is guaranteed. As a result, students must learn to direct the change that will engulf their lives. They must, at the very least, learn how to respond to it. They’ll be left behind if they don’t.
